Introduction

Hi, my name is Jordan Mayes-Schlatter. I go by plain old Jordan. I graduated from Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington, not far from The Evergreen State College where Rachel went before coming to WSU.
I have known that I wanted to come to WSU since my junior year in high school, ever since me and my two friends visited the campus on Junior Preview Day. All three of us live in Stephenson South and hang out all the time. When it comes to writing, I can't say that I am all that excited. I feel like a lot of what they teach us will be helpful in the future. But I don't have any plans in my future that have to do with 10 page papers. But I guess you never know. As for my "scholarly attitude," I guess you could say its pretty straight forward, I just want to get it over with. Don't get me wrong I love it here at WSU but I want to be out of school with a full time job doing something I enjoy.

Other than that a few things I can tell you about myself are as follows:
I love baseball, it is my all time favorite sport. It doesn't get any better than going to a ball game on a sunny day. Unfortunately I do not play anymore. I do however play golf, which is a close second to baseball. All my work experience has been in the golf industry and I can't wait to get back to it in the summer. Lastly my favorite genre of music is Country. Sure I don't mind the Rap, Hip-hop, or Reggae that my friends listen to but I would definitely rather listen to some Tim Mcgraw or "A Little Bit of Chicken Fried."

That being said lets get to work on some English!

  1. Man, it'd be so fun to live in Stephenson, I think. There are so many people living there! Also, I totally agree about getting college over and done with. I'm taking Math right now and I can't really think of a real world experience where I'm going to need to complete logarithms. haha.
And you gold? Have you ever been to like Spokane or Chewelah? They have some awesome courses. ahha.
    Cool introduction! :)

  2. That's cool that you're living with your friends from high school. The one thing about being away from home is being away from old friends. I miss them a lot. Did you ever try to play baseball for WSU? But golf is fun too, I'm terrible. My roommate is on the girl's team here and tried to teach me but it's hopeless. And I'm sorry but I'm not the biggest fan of country, trust me I've tried and the only guy I kind of like is Johnny Cash. I'll listen to your Tim Mcgraw song though and tell you what I think haha.
