Gallien

It is my personal opinion that Gallien did not call the police for a few different reasons. First and foremost I think that there is a strong possibility that people who live in places like Alaska take a much more "mind your own business" approach to life. Therefore Gallien did not deam it his responsibility or his right to call the police and interrupt Chris' journey. It is also very plausible that Gallien thought Chris would realize much sooner than he did that he did not belong in the wild. He may have assumed that Chris would only spend a few days in the woods before retreating back to civilization, thus figuring "he'd be OK." Other than that I do not see any reason why Gallien would call the police. It was Chris' decision to go into the woods. If Gallien could not stop him why bother bringing in the authorities. I have to admit I would not have called either, although I never would have picked up a hitchhiker in the first place.

Introduction

Hi, my name is Jordan Mayes-Schlatter. I go by plain old Jordan. I graduated from Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington, not far from The Evergreen State College where Rachel went before coming to WSU.
I have known that I wanted to come to WSU since my junior year in high school, ever since me and my two friends visited the campus on Junior Preview Day. All three of us live in Stephenson South and hang out all the time. When it comes to writing, I can't say that I am all that excited. I feel like a lot of what they teach us will be helpful in the future. But I don't have any plans in my future that have to do with 10 page papers. But I guess you never know. As for my "scholarly attitude," I guess you could say its pretty straight forward, I just want to get it over with. Don't get me wrong I love it here at WSU but I want to be out of school with a full time job doing something I enjoy.

Other than that a few things I can tell you about myself are as follows:
I love baseball, it is my all time favorite sport. It doesn't get any better than going to a ball game on a sunny day. Unfortunately I do not play anymore. I do however play golf, which is a close second to baseball. All my work experience has been in the golf industry and I can't wait to get back to it in the summer. Lastly my favorite genre of music is Country. Sure I don't mind the Rap, Hip-hop, or Reggae that my friends listen to but I would definitely rather listen to some Tim Mcgraw or "A Little Bit of Chicken Fried."

That being said lets get to work on some English!
